CBackup has scheduling capabilities built-in and you can configure a scheduled backup to get rid of manually performing a backup task because CBackup will run it as scheduled.

How to Schedule A Backup Task

In this section, we'll help you to get rid of frequent and manual file backup from local to CBackup Cloud, CBackup Desktop App also has scheduling capabilities built-in to let you configure a scheduled file backup.

CBackup Desktop App offers four schedule modes: One time only, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly. With these modes, you can select a schedule mode according to your needs. After scheduling, data will be backed up from local to CBackup Cloud at a regular interval or simply for a special timing automatically. For instance, you can schedule backup from local to CBackup Cloud at a specific time, Daily/Weekly/Monthly mode. Then, CBackup Desktop App will automatically backup your data from local to CBackup Cloud at the regular interval you chose.

Steps to Create A New Schedule Backup Task

Please follow the steps below to create a scheduled backup task:

1. Opening the Schedule settings.

  • For the new task, please click the Settings button when you create a new task to open the schedule settings.

  • For the created task, please move the cursor on the task then click on the three-dot button then select Settings to open the schedule settings.

And, if the created scheduled task is enabled, you can also click the scheduled mode of the task to open the scheduled settings.

2. Select the Scheduler tab in the Backup Settings window.

3. Select a backup schedule depending on needs, and you can see there are 4 Scheduled Modes.

  • One-time-only mode: set a specific time to run the backup only once.

  • Daily mode:

Set a time point to perform the backup task once a day.

Set a time range for a day first, then choose the time interval between start time and finish time and the program will perform the backup at intervals of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 hours within this time range every day.

  • Weekly mode: set a specific day of the week to run the backup.

  • Monthly mode: set a specific day of the month to run the backup.

4. Click OK after the configuration. This modification will be performed at the next backup.
